Actor Hagen Mills shoots girlfriend, kills self in murder-suicide attempt
Hagen Mills, who appeared in the FX series “Baskets,” died Tuesday. He was 29.
Mills died in Mayfield, Kentucky after shooting the mother of his child, Erica Price, 34, in the arm and chest, then turning the gun on himself, according to a statement released by Mayfield Police Department’s Chief, Nathan Kent.
Police officers responded to a call at a residence around 6 p.m. ET Tuesday reporting a woman had been shot. When police arrived to the home, they were met by Price outside the home, with gunshot wounds to her arm and chest. She told police that Mills shot her and was still inside the home and had shot himself.
According to officers, Mills held his young daughter, whom he shares with Price, and Price’s mother hostage until Price got home. The actor then shot Price.
Police found Mills inside the home and pronounced him dead at the scene. Price was transported to a hospital for treatment and is in stable condition.
Both Price’s mother and young daughter were not physically injured during the incident.
Though Mills was notable for his part as Lucky in “Baskets,” the actor participated in multiple projects. His most recent credits include the horror film “Star Light,” which is slated for release on August 4, according to IMDB.com.
