Awesome new Back to the Future themed bar lets you 'time travel' to the '80s
Great Scott! A Back to the Future themed bar has opened to transport fans straight back into the 1980s.
The aptly-named McFly's Pub offers themed cocktails, '80s memorabilia, heaps of Back to the Future artwork and plenty more surprises for fans of the iconic film.
There are some obvious highlights including an incredible Back to the Future themed mural and drinks, but owners Casey and Kelsey have also hidden heaps of Easter eggs for fans to find, with plenty of quirky tributes to Hollywood throughout the bar.
Brits will need to wait a little longer to explore as the bar is located in Texas, and with the pandemic, the US is currently closed to UK tourists.
Still, there's heaps of reasons why this quirky bar is worth bookmarking for a future US adventure.
A rep for McFly's Pub told Mirror Online exclusively: "We like to say McFly’s is more of a time travel bar — Almost as if Doc from Back to the Future were to open his own bar and fill it full of things he’s collected during his travels.
"It really started to piece together through our love of 80s films and pop culture, and the Back to the Future theme really began to mesh well with all of the decor ideas we were coming up with. We really didn’t want another 'sports bar' type of spot that is just a boring place with no soul."
They added: "There’s a lot to look at and take in when you enter McFly’s. It’s almost like a different adventure around every corner - which was very much intentional."
The cocktail menu itself is full of quirky drinks inspired by both the film and other Hollywood favourites - a few must-try tipples include the 'Martini McFly', 'The Great Scotch' (similar to a whiskey sour) and a rum-based, beach-style Tiki drink.
As for the personal touch, owner Casey has created his own time travel element, printing photos of his travels to line the ceiling in tribute to the people he's met on adventures throughout his life.
You can find out more about the bar on the McFly's Pub Facebook page.
