The Kansas City Chiefs have announced a flurry of roster moves ahead of their divisional-round playoff game against the Cleveland Browns.

Two players have been signed to the 53-man roster for Kansas City. The Chiefs officially activated LB Dorian O’Daniel from injured reserve. He’d been placed on injured reserve with an ankle injury earlier this season and was designated to return in the final week of the 2020 regular season. He’ll provide some depth at the linebacker position with Willie Gay Jr. ruled out for the game. Additionally, the Chiefs signed TE Ricky Seals-Jones to the 53-man roster. He’ll replace TE Deon Yelder, who has landed on injured reserve due to a groin injury suffered in Week 17.

With WR Sammy Watkins set to miss this week’s game, the Chiefs opted to elevate WR Gehrig Dieter from the practice squad. In addition to being a stud special teams player, Dieter is someone who is very familiar with the Kansas City offense and can fill in at a few different spots in the event of another injury. The team also elevated DB Chris Lammons, who impressed on special teams in his two appearances via standard elevation earlier this season.

The team also made several moves related to the practice squad. They released DB Rodney Clemons, an undrafted free agent out of SMU who had been with the team all year. Replacing both Clemons and Seals-Jones are two players who visited the team this past week, former Eagles sixth-round OT Prince Tega Wanogho and journeyman UDFA tight end Evan Baylis. Both moves provide the Chiefs with some depth at positions they’ve dealt with prior or recent injuries.
