Georgia football at Arkansas: Live blog, scoring, injuries
Welcome to today’s live blog, where we will update injuries and scoring throughout the game.
ATHENS — Georgia coach Kirby Smart spoke for everyone when he said, “It’s time for us to find out where we are.”
The No. 4-ranked Bulldogs opened the season at Arkansas on Saturday at Razorback Stadium as a four-touchdown favorite (TV: SEC Network).
It was a mistake-filled first half for Georgia, showing the head coach that where the team was, was not ready to play.
Starting QB D’Wan Mathis was relieved by Stetson Bennett in the second quarter, USC transfer JT Daniels apparently not yet cleared to play.
Georgia 34, Arkansas 10 (11:15 ): Zamir White 6-yard run (Jack Podlesny kick). Drive: 13 plays, 81 yards, 5:38. Key play: Matt Landers 23-yard catch on third-and-10 to the Arkansas 35.
Georgia 20, Arkansas 10 (3:20): John FitzPatrick 7-yard pass from Stetson Bennett (Jack Podlesny kick); Key play: Zamir White blocked punt, ball out of bounds at Arkansas 24.
— 6:11 Turnover on downs, Zamir White stopped on fourth-and-1 at Arkansas 24.
Arkansas 7, Georgia 2, (14:30): Georgia safety, Azeez Ojulari strips T.J. Hammonds at goal line, ball goes out back of end zone.

— 4:33 Turnover: Richard LeCounte interception at UGA 47 and returned 38 yards to Arkansas’ 15-yard line
UGA has a reloaded offense featuring just three players who have made seven or more career starts paired with a championship caliber defense.
A new offensive coordinator, and a new quarterback under center, certainly makes for anxious moments.
“You never know what you’re going to get when kids play for the first time, so I’m eager to see how a guy’s will respond,” Smart said this week on his contracted WSB-GameDay Show.
