By the fall, Raver-Lampman had landed her role as Allison Hargreeves on the Netflix superhero series The Umbrella Academy. Diggs congratulated his former co-star on the gig via Instagram.

Diggs alluded to living with Raver-Lampman during a Los Angeles Times interview in June 2020. When speaking about the differences between himself and his Snowpiercer character Andre Layton he said, "Layton is hyper-observant. I am not. I have not ever figured out where all the things in our kitchen are because my girlfriend put them where they are, and I still don’t know. I would not make a good detective.” He added, “We’ve been in this house two years,” hinting at a possible summer 2018 start of their relationship.

For as long as these two have known each other, their relationship was not openly reported on until July 2020. JustJared shared news of their relationship following the couple's attendance at the Los Angeles premiere of Raver-Lampman's movie aTypical Wednesday. Both of the actors wore matching masks to the event.

It was one of the first red carpet premieres to take place during the pandemic. Variety reported that the 200-person venue held only 60 guests, with temperature checks and face masks required inside.
