I know it’s been a while since I saw you but don’t think my heart is not always with you when we are apart. I remember the walks we had on Broadway with the excitement of a new show opening. And the rush of people trying to make the opening curtain. I miss all your craziness and the strange people walking down the block talking to themselves. I miss walking through Times Square watching Mickey Mouse and Goofy fighting for the perfect corner to meet tourists. The Naked Cowboy singing with his guitar in the street and no one gives him a look. Only you can do that. I miss the horse drawn carriage rides with a blanket on both of us and the streetlights lighting up the sky. We had such fun together. Going to my restaurant and meeting with my friends and laughing until they begged us to leave. The late nights at The Tony Awards & driving downtown to a swank café for coffee. I know we are having a tough time right now, but in the end, true love always prevails. I believe in us. Our love is a romance I know will never end because I never really left you. I can’t wait until we get back to where we were – stronger than ever. I will see you when all this chaos is over.
