‘One Day at a Time’ makes its network premiere on CBS | How to watch, livestream, TV channel, time

Catch the network premiere of One Day at a Time Season 4 tonight, Oct. 12, at 9 p.m. ET/PT on CBS. You can also watch new episodes of the critically acclaimed sitcom on FuboTV and CBS All Access.

The updated One Day at a Time — reimagined by the legendary Norman Lear, who created the original show in the 1970s — stars Justina Machado as Penelope Alvarez, a single mom struggling to raise her two teens (Marcel Ruiz and Isabella Gomez) with help from her large, well-meaning Cuban American family, including mom, Lydia Riera (Rita Moreno).

Season 4 gets underway with back-to-back episodes tonight. Episode 1 of Season 4, “Checking Boxes,” guest stars Ray Romano as a Census taker who shows up at the Alvarez house, prompting the family to reflect on their relationships and what the future has in store. In Episode 2, “Penny Pinching,” Penelope breaks out of her comfort zone to splurge on something new, while her daughter, Elena, struggles to get to an important e-sports match.
