OPINION: WWE Went Too Far with Disgusting Jeff Hardy Promotion
On the 29th of May, World Wrestling Entertainment, better known as WWE, went too damn far with a disgusting promotion.
WWE superstar Jeff Hardy was one of two main superstars in a pitiful promotion. Since 2003 and as recent as 2019, Jeff Hardy has been dropped and picked up by WWE a number of times — all due to abuse of some sort of substance or poor decision-making.
On Friday Night Smackdown, the show opened with him being arrested for driving while intoxicated and performing a hit-and-run on colleague Elias. The show then followed up with an arrest report later in the night. Then during the WWE main event, Jeff Hardy returned with minutes left in the program to attack another WWE superstar.
I find it absolutely disgusting how WWE personally haunted Jeff Hardy’s past on the program. This is a real man, a human being! WWE is projecting a clean man and recovering addict as a criminal for views.
Jeff Hardy is giving the business one more shot and is trying to have one last good run before retirement. The fact that WWE would stoop this low for views absolutely irks me and I’m sure many others. Thank you for your dedication and passion for such a sleazy business, Jeff.
