Tamera Mowry-Housley is leaving talk show ‘The Real': 'All good things must come to an end'

Original "The Real" co-host Tamera Mowry-Housley is leaving the daytime talk show after seven years, she announced.

Mowry-Housley, 42, wrote in an Instagram post that she had "NO intention" to share the news Monday, "especially in light of the news of my dear friend Naya, but now some reports are coming out and I’d rather you hear it from me first."

The TV personality and actress said she planned to pursue "amazing new opportunities" in her "next chapter" and spend more time with her family. She married former Fox News correspondent Adam Housley in 2011 and the couple has two children together: Aden, 7, and Ariah, 5.

The "Sister, Sister" alum joined the original lineup of "The Real" hosts in 2013, alongside Adrienne Houghton, Loni Love, Jeannie Mai and Tamar Braxton. The show won back-to-back NAACP Image Awards for best talk series and a Daytime Emmy in 2018 for best talk show host.

"The friendships that I've made there will last a lifetime, and the people that I've had the blessing to interview have changed my life for the better," she wrote. "However, all good things must come to an end, and it's with a bittersweet smile that I announce that I am moving on from 'The Real.' To my fellow hosts, I love you, I will miss you, and I will always be there for you. Thank you for teaching me, supporting me, and loving all of me. Sisters forever."
