Twitter comes to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski defense after '(expletive ) you' email

ESPN’s star NBA reporter Adrian Wojnarowski fired off a private email to Senator Josh Hawley of Missouri earlier today, letting him know exactly what Woj thought of a recent letter Hawley sent to the NBA about political messages on the backs of jerseys.

It was curt, succinct, and to the point.

Of course, Hawley used the private email to score political points in the ongoing culture war, releasing it with a tweet that pointed to just how scandalized he was at such language being used. To top it off, Hawley snitched by tagging ESPN and Outkick the Coverage.

Leaving aside Hawley’s utterly flawed reasoning for going after the NBA as it relates to human rights issues in China, it’s clear the Senator wanted this to become a thing, and congrats to him, because it has!

But, if Twitter is anything to go by, the court of public opinion is certainly not in his favor. As with all things, social media is quick to point out bad faith actors and “nah Woj” started trending on social media minutes after Wojnarowski tweeted his apology.

Anyway, you get the point. I would have included a lot more but they all had liberal use of the f-bomb and this is a family site!

As of now, even though Woj apologized, still looks like he came out in the Win column.
