Donald Trump lost the US election in November and therefore from tomorrow at midday his competitor Joe Biden will be sworn in as president. Mr Trump is due to issue dozens of pardons in keeping with tradition for outgoing US leaders. But will the Republican leader pardon Julian Assange in his final hours as US President?
Donald Trump will leave office on Wednesday, January 20, preparing for Joe Biden to be sworn in as the 46th US President.
Mr Trump is reportedly considering as many as 100 pardons in total,
Many outlets have questioned if he intends to issue a pardon for himself or his family members.
However, US publications claim he is unlikely to do so.
Mr Trump is expected to share a video later today during which he will discuss his achievements during his time in office.
