‘Young and the Restless’ star Meg Bennett dead at 75

(Gray News) - Meg Bennett, an actress and writer on the daytime soap operas “Young and the Restless,” and “General Hospital,” has died.

Bennett passed away on April 11 after a battle with cancer, her family announced. She was 75.

As an actress, she appeared on numerous episodes of Y&R playing the role of Julia Martin/Julia Newman, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Bennett also played the role of Megan Richardson on the series “Santa Barbara” in 1989.

She had also appeared on Broadway, appearing in the initial run of the musical “Grease” in 1972 playing the role of Marty Maraschino for more than two years.
