Protests over police brutality continue despite curfews in many U.S. cities

Officials ramped up efforts once again Tuesday evening to quell unrest, adding to police forces and imposing earlier curfews as demonstrators took to the streets in major cities. New York City announced its 8 p.m. curfew will remain in place for the rest of the week, but that didn't stop hundreds from marching to protest the death of George Floyd. The 46-year-old died after a white Minneapolis police officer knelt on the unarmed black man's neck for nearly nine minutes.
